A blue flip flop, a chocolate chip and a daughter’s school project. These are just a sampling of the topics Deanna Davis will address in her comedy show at Lindbergh High School Oct. 3 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

The show is called “Womanhood…The Divine Comedy: Thoughts on Life, Laughter, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Davis from Spokane is the author of three books and has spent 15 years as a professional speaker. She has a Ph.D. in leadership from Gonzaga University and a master’s of public health from the University of Washington. She launched “Womanhood” in Spokane in April, and the show repeated in June.

According to a press release, Davis is an “admitted laughaholic” who started “Womanhood” “in an effort to bring women together in innovative ways to enhance their health and happiness, and

to impact other women and their communities in positive ways.”

Proceeds from Lindbergh’s show benefit the emerging nonprofit PROSE (Parents Reaching Out in Support and Education), which supports parents of students with special needs.

Tickets are $25 and include light snacks at intermission, music, free drawings, and time to relax and connect with other women. For more information and online registration, visit www.deannadavis.net/womanhood.html. Register by phone at 877-958-1600.
