Conservation district vote set

The Renton-based King Conservation District will hold a public election for an open position on its board of supervisors March 16.

Individuals interested in running for the position, which has a three-year term, are encouraged to contact the district for information on board duties and responsibilities. Candidates must complete a candidate

information form and complete a nominating petition with at least 25 signatures of registered voters who reside within the district. The petition must be delivered to the district office by 5 p.m. Feb. 16, to be included on the ballot.

All registered voters who reside within the district’s boundaries are eligible to run for the position. District boundaries include all of King County, excluding the cities of Enumclaw, Federal Way, Milton, Pacific and Skykomish.

The district, working with election administrator Election Trust, will provide voting center locations for the election on March 16.

  • Bellevue: King County Library/Bellevue Regional Branch, 1111 110th Ave. N.E.; poll hours 10:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
