The Renton City Council will receive an update on the Cedar River Library replacement project during the Committee of the Whole meeting Monday prior to the regular council meeting.

The report is a briefing only and the council is not expected to take any action.

During the regular council meeting, the council will hear a proclamation welcoming Seahawks fans to Renton in August and receive a special presentation on the Communities in Schools of Renton’s national accreditation.

Resolutions include the closure of Northeast 38th Street between Jones Avenue Northeast and Lincoln Avenue Northeast. The road will close for an indefinitely period of time due to maintenance costs.

The Committee of the Whole meets at 6 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 7 p.m., both in the council chambers at City Hall.
