Council to recognize public works employees

Also on the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance decriminalizing alcohol consumption, under certain conditions, at public parks.

The Renton City Council will recognize Public Works employees this week during its regular council meeting on Monday.

On the agenda is an employee recognition proclamation and the usual Committee of the Whole meeting prior to the regular council meeting has been canceled in favor of a reception, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Seventh Floor Conferencing Center.

Also on the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance decriminalizing alcohol consumption, under certain conditions, at public parks. The issue is scheduled to be discussed during the community services committee meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the council conference room.
