The videos are in and the judging has begun for Renton FilmFrenzy III.
This year’s winners will be announced alongside a showing of their films Tuesday at the Curvee Awards Gala, a free show open to the public.
Two weeks ago filmmakers from throughout the region hit the streets in Renton for the 50-hour film competition.
Eighteen of the 25 entrants completed the task and moved on to the judging.
Although there were fewer contestants this year, the producers were more successful, said organizer Suzanne Dale Estey. “We have more films than ever.”
For those who want to meet this year’s filmmakers, a Film Walk in downtown Renton will begin Oct. 27.
The Renton Reporter will open voting just after midnight Oct. 29 for the People’s Choice Award, where all of the films will be available for viewing online.
