Deadline extended for artists to participate in Art & Antique Walk

Deadline for artists to be involved in the Fourth Annual Art & Antique Walk in downtown Renton has been extended. The event sponsored by Arts Unlimited of Renton showcases artists in businesses and on the sidewalks all the way down Third Avenue on Saturday, August 22.

Major sponsors of the event along with Arts Unlimited are: Allied Arts of Renton, King and Bunny’s Appliances, Renton Reporter, Renton Magazine, Renton Municipal Arts Commission, and Team Runge Real Estate.

Applications are also available at Maple Valley Creative Arts Center behind Gloria’s Restaurant; or in Renton at L.A. Gallery and Frames, 309 S. Third St. and Cedar River Antique Mall, 916 S, Third. St.

Cost to the artists is $10, which helps defray the cost of printing. Artists need to furnish their own display materials: easels, tables, grid-wall), there are limited 10-by-10 canopy spots available.

Arts Unlimited is also sponsoring an Open Air Gallery at the Return to Renton Car Show, Sunday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. across from the Piazza. Sixteen artists have already committed to this event.

Planning to show July 12 are Orenda Ayashe; Stefanie Bennett, Halina Bojarski, Clara Monacelli, Mary Ellen Eynes, Astrid Bartlett, Stefeny Anderson, Eileen Sorg, Marguerite Wagner, Richard Fisher, Richard Jahn, David Jayne, Bruce Savadow, Laura Scheuffele, Adrienne Anderson and Tom and Miki Willia.
