A doctor in the emergency room at Valley Medical Center was assaulted about 2:30 a.m. July 24 by a patient, who grabbed his hand, twisted his arm and tried to bite him, according to Renton police.
The doctor was able to get out of the man’s hold. The suspect, a Renton man, was restrained by hospital security.
An officer asked the suspect what had happened in the emergency room. According to the police report, the man responded, “I honestly don’t know.” The report indicated the man had a strong odor of alcohol, his eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred.
The man was arrested for investigation of third-degree assault and booked into the Renton City Jail.

of carjacking
A 35-year-old Renton man was nearly the victim of a carjacking while he was washing his Ford Mustang at a car wash on Northeast Sunset Boulevard the afternoon of July 21, according to Renton police.
The man was approached by two suspects, one of whom showed a gun. They demanded at gunpoint that the victim get out of the car.
The victim fled on foot and called police from a nearby business, according to police.
The suspects fled in their own vehicle but were stopped a short distance away from the car wash. The suspects are a Seattle man, 29, and a Benton County man, 26. They were arrested for investigation of robbery, drug possession and felon in possession of a firearm.
They were booked into the Renton City Jail and later transferred to the King County Jail.

GPS are stolen
Stereo equipment and a GPS were stolen sometime early morning on July 23 from a Jeep parked in the 2000 block of Southeast 16th Court, according to Renton police.
The rear passenger window had been broken out; inside the window was a dark red
stain on the seat that appeared to be dried blood. There was a similar stain on the glove box, near the empty stereo compartment.
