Expect downtown road closures for Dragon Dash 5K/10K on Saturday

Three streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15.

During the Dragon Dash 5K/10K race this Saturday, April 15, several streets will be closed to

accommodate runners and walkers.

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. , the following streets will be closed:

  • South 3rd Street, between Williams Avenue South and Mills Avenue South (Pho Asia Noodle House and the Renton History Museum)
  • Wells Avenue South, between South 2nd Street and South 3rd Street (Sherwin Williams and Erasmus the Rooftop Dragon)
  • Main Avenue South, between South 2nd Street and South 4th Street (Dubtown Brewing Company or Ben’s Loan and Caliber Collision

The race will begin at the intersection of Wells Avenue South and South 3rd Street, underneath the statue of Erasmus the Rooftop Dragon, as the race is in his honor.

According to the City of Renton, the streets will close at 9 a.m. when check-in time begins. The race will begin at 10 a.m. and will end an hour later at 11 a.m., when the event ends. The roads will open up shortly afterwards.
