The public is invited to celebrate the re-opening of Fire District 40’s newly remodeled Fire Station 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 22.
There will be a brief presentation and dedication by local dignitaries and invited guests beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.
Tours of the building, located at 14810 S.E. Petrovitsky Rd., will be conducted until 3 p.m.
The newly remodeled Station 17 includes seismic upgrades, a new fire sprinkler system, a conference/training room, a dedicated amateur radio operators’ room, and improved livability and dorm rooms for firefighters.
