Stairclimbing Team Renton Firefighters Local 864 will be raising money today, Saturday, for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the 22nd annual Scott Stairclimb.
Visit with members of the team as they prepare to climb the Columbia Tower in full gear as they raise money for cancer.
Local 864 will be running the 22nd Annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb in 2013 in honor of a dear friend, retired Renton Deputy Chief Art Larson passed away from lymphoma on Jan. 12. This year’s climb is dedicated to him and his 35 years of service to the citizens of the community.
Donations are tax deductible.
Renton Firefighers Local 864 will also have their antique fire engine there, so come down and climb around and get your picture taken.
The team will be at the Regal Cinemas in the Landing from 3 to 7 p.m. A second event at Katie J’s Bar and Grill (2621 NE Sunset Blvd.), including live music, drink specials, prizes, food and a silent auction, begins at 6 p.m.
