Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre hosted a Fallen Officer Fundraiser Wednesday to raise donations for the families of five Western Washington police officers shot to death recently. A $10 donation was asked at the family style dinner. All proceeds went to Lakewood Police Independent Guild. Merrill Gardens donated the food and service. Participating in the fundraiser were, from left, Merrill Gardens Dining Services manager Kevin Lanning, Merrill Gardens Shelley Thompson, Ron Jackson, the Transit Center security manager, and retired Renton Police Officer Don Lindberg.
