This Sunday (Nov. 9), the Boulevard Salon on Lake Washington Boulevard is going to be a beehive of activity for a benefit for Nisa Shinners, one of the early partners in the salon who is fighting ovarian cancer.
The staff at the salon will gather on their day off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to style hair for a “Cut for A Cure” day to benefit Shinners, who grew up in Renton and now lives in Pacific, according to Sharon Badure, one of the owners.
The salon is at 3212 Lake Washington Blvd.
A minimum donation of $40 is asked, she said.
“She’s in the battle of her life right now,” Badure said of Shinners.
To make an appointment, call 425-255-1064.
Donations will continue to be accepted even after the event, she said.
