Hazen students will perform with the Seattle Philharmonic

Three Hazen High School orchestra members will join the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra in concert Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at the IKEA Performing Arts Center.

Three Hazen High School orchestra members will join the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra in concert Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at the IKEA Performing Arts Center.

These students are Emily Thomas, viola; Brandon Lo, violin, and Michael Mayer, violin.

Allied Arts of Renton sponsors the concert each year. Renton Municipal Arts Commission and Renton School District are co-sponsors.

The program includes Nelbybat: Three Intradas for Brass; Mozart: Symphony #36 in C. “Linz”; and Tchaikovsky: Suite #33 in G. Opus 55.

Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra director Adam Stern is a Grammy-winning record producer and a composer and pianist.
