Film fans will get a chance to see all the films entered in Renton FilmFrenzy V tonight (Monday) at the Renton Civic Theatre.
The free screening of the four-minute films starts at 7 p.m. at the theater, 507 S. Third St., in downtown Renton. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.; there will be concessions.
The 16 films competing for the FilmFrenzy Curvee award and cash prizes Tuesday night will be shown, along with one additional film, “Look Up, Look Down,” produced by Louisa Payne.
The FilmFrenzy Curvee Awards Gala starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center at Renton High School, 400 S. Second St. The films that win a Curvee will be shown at the gala; tonight’s screening is the chance to see all the films.

The officer asks him to leave the area immediately. Feeling ridiculed, he seeks vengeance on the judges and the police officer.

In the not so distant future, the oil is all but toxic, time travel has been invented, and an effort to search the past for any hope of cleaning the air has been launched. After a long series of investigations, a scientist with knowledge to save the future has been located right here in Renton. A mission has been launched in the hope it will be the last. But, our hero had no idea what is going on and is reluctant to go.
School of Dolls

“School of Dolls” is about this tape that was found in the school. The three kids are dared to spend the whole night in the school. When they get into the school, weird stuff starts happening. One goes missing and by the end is never seen again.
The Knocking

The Friends of the Cedar River Watershed work to clear wetlands of invasive blackberries at Cedar River Montessori School. Their work disturbs the nesting sight of a bigfoot called Siff Renton. He knocks to communicate with a friend, another bigot who has his nest in a hollowed out tree – the resting place of D.B. Cooper. Siff decides to go into town to complain to the Chamber of Commerce, but is disappointed to find it closed. Siff remains homeless to this day.
Look Up, Look Down

A girl leaves her bag on a bus and two other girls try to give it back to her. They narrowly miss crossing paths several times, as girls follow clues from contents of the bag and the other retraces her steps. This all leads to a surprising ending at The Landing. The plot is loosely based on a real life adventure of the producer.
