Here’s how to participate in the IKEA Renton River Days Duck Hunt, a great way to lead up to the festival July 22-24.

Between now and Renton River Days, follow the clues to find 30 ducklings. But, beware, there’s a goose among them. It’s just not very obvious, so look for a special message in the game card to find the goose and increase your chances to win prizes.

It’s all part of this year’s duck hunt theme centered around the children’s game, Duck-Duck-Goose.

Print out a duck-hunt game card, or get one at any of the ducklings’ locations. Then get a stamp for each duck from the host. The more ducks you find in the scavenger hunt, the greater the chance of winning prizes at the Renton River Days. And those prizes include a Nintendo Wii and a certificate from Renton Western Wear.

Rentonreporter.com is serializing the clues, with a new one posted each day.

Here’s the clue for Plum.

This duckling went to the restaurant which starts with his name, and is really quite delicious.

The clues so far:

JETT: This duckling has motored over to get car insurance at a place whose name scrambles to RAFTMATES. Which one? Find Megan!

NATHANIEL: This duckling is at GRLNDJWLRS, though we think you might need a few vowels to figure out where.

ROSSINI: This duckling is looking for his sister Italia, but has found a crow! But it’s a strange kind of crow, as you can see.

ITALIA: This duckling has finally been reunited with her brother Rossini! She’s just in the bank next door.

MORRIS: This duckling is on Northeast Fourth Street at FEXBSE KPOFT—wait, that can’t be right. Maybe he’s one step ahead of himself in the alphabet.

OZZY: This duckling needs to buy some spurs, some chaps, and a whole lot of yee-haw. Where would he go to do that?

BLAINE: This duckling has earned himself one of these. He’s assigned to the Investigations Division on the second floor, waiting to take your statement.

THETA: This duckling is very sleepy, so he’s only opened his eyes a little bit, enough to see this very thin slice of a logo.

MEATHEAD: This duckling has gone to another planet … a planet made of fitness.

YVES: This duckling is on Duvall Avenue, taking a tasteful form of transportation.
