The transportation department crews will close the southbound I-405 off-ramp to Rainier Avenue North (exit 2A) at 5 p.m. Thursday to replace an impact attenuator in the gore point that was destroyed in an earlier collision.

The work is anticipated to take half an hour.

Crews need to replace the attenuator for the safety of the traveling public. The off-ramp will reopen as soon as crews finish the work.

Drivers can exit at SR 181 to access Rainier Avenue North.
