Renton police are continuing to investigate a stabbing at the Renton Transit Center in May that sent an elderly man to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

A cell phone stolen elsewhere downtown led to a confrontation at the transit center involving the elderly man and several juveniles. Police responded to the scene quickly and arrests were made.

Once the investigation is completed, it will be forwarded to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for review and for possible filing of charges, according to Penny Bartley, a police spokeswoman.
