The National Weather Service is predicting a cool, gray weekend with a chance of showers every day.

Memorial Day may be the traditional start of summer, but don’t expect sunshine and warm temperatures just yet.

Today, Saturday should be much like Friday, with temperature sin the low 60s and a 30 percent chance of showers. Overnight, the temeprature should drop in to the high 40s, with a continued 30 percent chance of showers.

Sunday should be a little warmer with highs near 70, but the clouds will stick around, as will the same 30 percent chance of showers.

By Sunday night, the chance of showers turns to a chance of rain, with lows  near 50.

Memorial Day itself could also be a wet one, with cloudy skies, a 40 percent chance of rain and temperatures in the high 60s.

Showers are also likely overnight Monday and into Tuesday’s post-holiday commute, though temperatures are expected to get up to near 70 on Tuesday.
