Starting from Wednesday through Tuesday, April 18 at 4 p.m. households in need of rental assistance can apply for the King County Housing Authority’s housing choice voucher (Section 8) program waitlist.

This is the second time since 2011 that the KCHA has opened its waitlist for Section 8 vouchers, according to a media release.

Registration is free. To register for the lottery visit www.kcha.org.

This program, according to the release, provides rental subsidies to more than 11,300 low-income households.

The housing authority will notify families by the end of May if they have been placed on the waitlist
