Lindbergh High School’s girls robotics team spent a weekend putting their robot the “Marshawn Winch” to the test in an all-girls competition in Ravensdale, Wash.

They competed against 24 other high school teams from Washington and Oregon. Under the direction of science teacher Matt Randall, the girls were fierce competitors.

Their focus wasn’t to win, but to thrive under the pressure of a live competition while having to troubleshooting mechanical and other problems, setting up the pit, driving the robot, being the pit crew and more, a district release stated.
