Threatened with a knife: Renton police responded on Aug. 23 after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance with a weapon. According to the department, a woman stated her boyfriend threatened to stab her and was armed with a knife. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at the scene. The woman did not report any injuries at the time. Police have forwarded charges to prosecutors. Detectives will continue investigation into the incident.

Box cutter: Renton police responded on Aug. 22 just before 3:15 p.m. to the 4000 block of Northeast 4th Street after receiving report of malicious mischief. A man stated he had attempted to speak to another man who had taken merchandise from his business without paying for it. After approaching the other man, the other man threatened to stab him and slashed the man’s tires with a box cutter. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody at a nearby address, according to the department. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Punched: Renton police officers responded on Aug. 22 to an assault report in the 17500 block of 121st Lane Southeast just before 10:30 p.m. According to the department, a woman reported that she had been punched by a known suspect. The woman was transported to the hospital for her injury. The case was forwarded to detectives for further investigation, according to the department.
