Man dies of heart attack outside McDonald’s

A 52-year-old man died of a heart attack in McDonald’s restaurant parking lot on Benson Road Oct. 29, said Renton Police commander Paul Cline.

Kent’s Daniel W. Snyder parked his car at the fast-food restaurant and rushed across the parking lot before collapsing face-first, according to the police report.

He was pronounced dead at about 1:30 p.m. by medics on the site, about 30 minutes after he collapsed.

Police put up investigation tape, as the circumstances were “suspicious/unknown.” The 911 caller suggested the man had been robbed, because he was running toward the McDonald’s and his face was bleeding, according to the report.

Police reported that Snyder’s nose appeared bent or broken and it was bleeding, according to the report.

On the scene Renton Fire Department lieutenant suggested Snyder died from a heart attack. The King County Medical Examiner later attributed his death to cardiovascular disease.
