Man kicks and bites someone: At 6:03 a.m. March 31 in the 400 block of South 43rd Street, officers responded to reports of an assault. The victim told officers that he was attempting to remove a subject from the building after having asked him to leave repeatedly. The suspect kicked and bit the victim. Another suspect was also temporarily detained, but officers determined there was no assault. The initial suspect was booked into jail. Both subjects were trespassed from the premise.

Using illegal drugs: At 5:39 p.m. March 31 in the 100 block of Cedar River Trail, there was a report that an officer observed three people consuming illegal drugs. The officer contacted all three and placed them under arrest. All three were cited for unlawful public dangerous drug activities and released at the scene. They were also trespassed from all city parks for a year.

Two suspects with a dog and meth: At 11:20 a.m. April 3 in the 600 block of South 3rd Street, officers learned that at approximately 11:30 p.m., two suspects with a dog broke into a building. The victim showed officers a videotape of the break-in, and it showed the suspects leaving the property with a bag of tools. Officers conducted an area check and located two people, a man and a woman, who were wearing the same clothing as those in the video. The suspects admitted to entering the building, but claimed they did not take anything. Both were arrested, and officers located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on the female suspect. They were booked into jail.

Consuming illegal drugs: At 1:04 a.m. April 3 at an undisclosed location, officers on routine patrol witnessed several subjects huddled in a circle, and two were consuming suspected illegal drugs. Officers contacted the suspects and located suspected drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested and booked into jail on investigation of unlawful public dangerous drug activities.

Vehicle traveling the wrong way: At 11:15 p.m. April 4 in the 200 block of South 3rd Street, officers were driving eastbound when they observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way toward them. Two officers flipped on their lights and sirens to pull the driver over, but she failed to stop. Eventually, the driver pulled into a parking lot and didn’t notice the officers until they knocked on her car window. Officers learned the driver had a suspended license and placed her under arrest. They also smelled the odor of strong intoxicants and observed obvious signs of impairment. The driver was booked into jail on investigation of driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence.
