King County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a Sunday morning homicide that occurred just after 4 a.m. near South 126th Street and Renton Avenue South in Skyway.

Detectives said a patrol officer was near the area and heard the shooting.  The deputy drove to the scene and saw a red car partially in the roadway with the driver slumped over the wheel. Medics were called but were unable to resuscitate the man who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police two black men suspected to be the shooters were seen fleeing the area in a silver or gray Chevrolet Impala. No further description is available but will be released as police learn more information.
