Renton firefighters and crews with the King County Fire District 20 in Skyway used ropes early Monday morning to rescue a man who had fallen over a guardrail on Monster Road.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to Valley Medical Center and was expected to recover from his injuries, according to Renton Fire and Life Safety.
It’s not clear why the man fell over the guardrail just south of Martin Luther King Way S.
Renton fire crews were dispatched at about 5:15 a.m. Monday to assist with the rescue. Fire District 20 crews had responded to the initial call just after 4:30 a.m. in the 12900 block of Martin Luther King Way S.
Fire crews and deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office searched for about 45 minutes, before finding the man along Monster Road, about seven blocks away from the location in the initial call.
