A 47-year-old man was shot in the leg at a gas station on the 300 block of Rainier Avenue South Thursday night.

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a Renton Police Department press release.

The victim approached silver car occupied by a female and four males and asked to buy a cigarette.

Following the conversation, an unknown occupant in the car shot the victim in the leg at about 11:20 p.m., according to the release.

The victim doesn’t wish to prosecute, according to the release.
