A man shot perhaps six times early Friday morning in the parking lot of a West Hill club was released later in the day from a hospital, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
There have been no arrests in the shooting, said Sgt. John Urquhart, a sheriff’s spokesman.
The shooting occurred at about 2:35 a.m. in the parking lot of the Afriq Club, 12619 Renton Ave. S. The club owner told deputies the man, two women and five other men came in together.
There seemed to be a disagreement within the group, and as the group walked out, one man pulled a gun and several shots were fired, according to Urquhart. The suspect and the rest of the group fled.
Deputies arrived few minutes later and found the victim pacing up and down in front of the business. When asked if he had been shot, the man lifted up his bloody t-shirt, revealing several fresh bullet wounds, and said, “You tell me!”
The deputy concurred that the man was shot “perhaps six times,” and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center by aid car, despite his protests that he was “fine.”
The 33-year-old man was treated for his wounds and discharged later in the day.
