Man assaulted and car stolen: At 11:21 p.m. Nov. 29, officers responded to the 800 block of S. Grady Way for a robbery. The victims told officers that a male stole their car and assaulted one of them in the process. The investigation is ongoing.
Man with pipe: On Dec. 4 in the 200 block of Mill Ave. S., a victim reported seeing a subject twirling a pipe around and hitting things with it. The suspect saw the victim and dropped the pipe, began to chase him, and grabbed his right hand. Officers arrived, and the suspect immediately surrendered and was taken into custody. The victim was not injured.
Animal complaint: On Dec. 5, on the 2800 block of NE 8th St., animal control officers were dispatched to an animal complaint. King County Sheriff’s Office deputies were attempting to serve an eviction notice and called to report 24 dogs living in horrible conditions. The animal control officer reported fecal matter covering the entire inside of the residence. The dogs were covered in feces. Some appeared blind, and some were limping. There was no water or food available. The dogs were seized and taken to a veterinary clinic.
