A 38-year-old Maple Valley man shot at and apparently hit home-invasion robbers who stole several guns, drugs and money on Tuesday, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Two people received treatment at area hospitals for apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Maple Valley man was at his house when a friend arrived, followed immediately by the suspects who entered the house, bound the man and assaulted him.
The suspects cleared out the victim’s open safe of drugs, money and several guns – mostly shotguns and rifles – before leaving the home.
The victim broke free of the restraints, armed himself and went outside. He fired a handgun at the suspects before they fled in vehicles through the streets of Maple Valley. Witnesses reported seeing guns being thrown out of a fleeing vehicle along a busy Maple Valley road.
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was dropped off at a Maple Valley 7-11 store with an apparent gunshot wound to the face. A second person drove herself to an area hospital with an apparent gunshot wound to the buttocks. Those people are believed to be involved with the home–invasion robbery in some way, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
