Missing Renton woman in California, was in no danger

UPDATE: Kelsey Vanderford was located by the California Highway Patrol Thursday and was determined not to be in danger.

Renton Police are asking for the public’s help to locate Kelsey Vanderford, a missing 31-year-old woman.

She was last seen at 10:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11. It is not known whether she had arrived at her destination in downtown Renton. She has not been seen by friends or family since Saturday.

Vanderford is a white female, approximately 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black dress, red hat, black and white scarf and black boots. Vanderford suffers from bi-polar disorder, has no medication with her and may be endangered.

She is believed to be driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, possibly blue in color, Washington state license plate ABE1737. It is believed that she may be headed to California. Her debit card was used in Portland and Salem, Ore., on Dec. 12.

Anyone who has Vanderford since 10:30 p.m. Saturday night or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 911 and contact the Renton Police Department.
