The following information is compiled from Renton Police Department case reports.

Renton police officers once again responded to a complaint of a loud party on Monroe Avenue Northeast, this time on Nov. 30 involving between 100 and 150 people.

Halloween night, officers responded multiple times to the house in the 770 block of Monroe Avenue Northeast because of loud noise from a crowd that spilled into the street; five people were cited with breach of peace.

Three weeks later, officers returned and residents were given a verbal warning.

On Nov. 30 at about 11:30 p.m., about 100 people were at the house, including minors, for a party themed “jocks and geeks.”

Officers determined the residents of the house were operating a business because they charged a cover fee, $7 for males and $5 for females.

Officers talked with a resident who was at the Oct. 31 party, who promised to get people to leave.

Some carefree partyers walked off, but a 20-year-old Renton man was cited as a minor possessing alcohol. He was carrying two six packs of Smirnoff Ice.

About a half-hour later, officers were called back. Laughter and loud music were coming from the house. A teenaged boy stumbled from the house. He insisted he wasn’t drunk, but his blood-alcohol level tested at .251. He was cited.

Officers contacted another resident they recognized, who told them he “was trying to get his name out there” with the parties.He was cited for breach of peace; officers noted he was operating a business without a permit. The case was sent to prosecutors.

She needs time away from her boyfriend

A 35-year-old Renton woman who spent about 90 minutes sitting in a fitting room at Fred Meyer on Renton Center Way was cited for third-degree theft on Nov. 27.

A store security officer observed the woman putting numerous items into a bag before walking into the fitting room at about 9:30 p.m. As the store was closing, the woman walked outside and was stopped.

She wanted to get arrested because she and her boyfriend are not getting along and going to jail would give them some time apart. She was booked into the SCORE regional jail.

Police discovered her real name. She had used one of her names to get fake ID so she could work as a stripper at age 14. She ended that job at 16.
