The following information was compiled from Renton Police Department case reports.
A 38-year-old Renton man was found sleeping on his bed Feb. 1 after his wife called 911 to report he had pushed her from their home with their children.
The couple had argued, then he forcefully pushed her out like a bouncer would The 42-year-old wife was standing outside in the driveway with their two children when officers arrived.
Officers tried to contact the husband inside the house. Eventually, they found him lying face down on the bed, asleep. He told them he should have taken a walk to calm down.
He was booked into the SCORE regional jail for investigation of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
GUNSHOTS HEARD: Residents reported hearing the sounds of two explosions and two gunshots at about 10:45 p.m. Feb. 2 in the area of the 200 block of Thomas Avenue Southwest.
Several Renton Police officers responded. Earlier in the day a resident found a shell casing in the yard from a 9 mm handgun.
CELL PHONE STOLEN:A Puyallup woman didn’t realize someone had stolen her cell phone at the Renton Wal-mart Feb. 3 until she realized it didn’t automatically sync with her car as usual.
The woman texted while in the store, then put the cell back in her purse. Perhaps it was stolen when a man bumped into her.
The cell phone was valued at $621.
