New fire authority schedules first public meeting for Friday

Voters on April 26 approved the plan to combine the Renton Fire Department and King County Fire District No. 25 into the RRFA.

The Renton regional Fire Authority announced Monday that it will conduct its first public meeting Friday morning in Renton.

During the meeting, which is open to the public, the RRFA will take formal legal action to be recognized as a formal Regional Fire Authority.

Voters on April 26 approved the plan to combine the Renton Fire Department and King County Fire District No. 25 into the RRFA.

RRFA staff and elected officials will be on hand at 8:30 a.m. for a 30-minute question & answer session and public meet-and-greet.

The RRFA’s first public meeting is scheduled for 8:30 to 11 a.m. July 1 at  Fire Station 13, 18002 108th Ave. S.E., Renton.
