Ronald Ricketts

Ronald Lee Ricketts of Renton died March 11, 2009, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He was 70.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Kent Covenant Church, 12010 S.E. 240th St., Kent. Interment is at Evergreen Washelli.

Ricketts was born April 23, 1938, to Irwin W. and Esther Binford Ricketts. He married Lois Charlotte Wilkinson on March 21, 1964, in Seattle. He was employed at Westinghouse and Admiral Appliance in Seattle and was general manager of King County Director’s Association (KCDA) in Kent for 25 years until he retired in 2004.

He served as president of the Kent Chamber of Commerce and was active with First Presbyterian Church of Renton.

He is survived by two daughters, Ronelle Gall of Pasco and Renee Hansen of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren; a brother, John Ricketts of Marysville; and a sister, Maralyn Ricketts of Lynnwood.

He was preceded in death by his son Raymond in 1985; and his wife in 2007.

Memorials are suggested to Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Navigators or Kent Covenant Church.
