Object thrown: Renton police were dispatched on July 23 at approximately 5:26 p.m. to an assault report around the area of the 16000 block of 116th Avenue Southeast. According to the department, the reporting party stated his son was assaulted via an unknown object thrown from a vehicle at his back while he was riding a bicycle. Officers found no items around the area, and the incident resulted in no injuries to the boy. According to the department, an investigation yielded limited suspect information and no other witnesses.

Domestic assault: Renton police responded on July 23 at approximately 5:26 p.m. to a domestic assault in-progress in the 600 block of South Grady Way. According to the department, suspects fled the area prior to the arrival of officers at the scene. Officers developed probable cause for three counts of assault in the fourth degree against one suspect, and two counts of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree and one count of assault in the fourth degree for the second suspect. Police forwarded the case to prosecutors for review of charges.

Strong-arm robbery: Renton police were dispatched on July 26 at approximately 6:27 p.m. to a strong-arm robbery in the 270 block of Rainier Avenue South. According to the department, the reporting party stated a woman shoplifting from the location punched an employee in the chest. Police have not identified the woman as of July 31. Police have probable cause to arrest her for assault in the fourth degree and theft in the third degree.
