Renton Police have arrested a man involved in an overnight shooting at the Plum Tree Park Apartments in which one man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim received treatment for injuries to his face and was released from the hospital earlier this morning, according to police.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. Thursday, police received a 911 call of shots fired in the 200 block of Southwest Fifth Place. A moment later, they received a call from the victim’s girlfriend, who said she was driving the victim to Valley Medical Center.
Officers responded to both locations.
They were able to speak to the victim, who was conscious and alert. Officers at the scene found the victim’s car and a significant amount of blood.
According to police The shooting was the result of a dispute between the victim and a male friend of the victim’s girlfriend. The male friend was located at a nearby apartment and claimed the victim had pulled a gun on him first.
After speaking to witnesses, police arrested the male friend. A gun believed used in the shooting was recovered from his apartment.
