One injured in morning stabbing in Highlands | UPDATED

Crews treated a single victim, described as a male in his 20s, with a stab wound in his torso.

UPDATE:

Renton Police have provided additional information about this morning’s stabbing outside the Grocery Outlet on Sunset Boulevard Northeast.

According to a post on their Facebook page, police were called to the 2800 block of Sunset Avenue NE at just before 5 a.m. abd found a 27-year-old man unconscious in the parking lot with a stab wound to his chest.

The suspect and victim apparently knew each other and got in a fight, after which the suspect fled on a bicycle. However, the suspect’s pants apparently were caight in the chain and he continued on foot.

A K9 track was conducted with negative results.

ORIGINAL POST: One man was injured this morning after apparently being stabbed outside a grocery store on Sunset Boulevard.

According to fire department officials, crews were dispatched to the 2800 block of Sunset Boulevard NE just before 5 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing.

Crews treated a single victim, described as a male in his 20s, with a stab wound in his torso.

He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
