There are only a few more weeks left in the season for the Renton Farmers Market, which will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. tonight at the Piazza.
In early September we still see many summertime favorites like tomatoes, squash, onions, corn, melons and berries, but keep in mind they will not be fresh for long, so now is a great time to stock up and preserve the bounty for winter.
Today’s entertainment is RJ & Company beginning at 5:30 and there is a Food $ense Demo featuring the Mediterranean dip Baba Ghanoush scheduled for 4 p.m. Visit www.rentonfarmersmarket.com for the recipe
Plus, visit the Salvation Army’s community booth, talk to a master gardener of check out the Kid’s Patch.
The Farmers Market is opn Tuesdays through Sept. 29.
