Pillow fight erupts into physical violence | Police Blotter

A pillow fight erupted into physical violence at a Renton home on Dec. 12.

A 24-year-old Renton woman was arrested for fourth-degree assault after she scratched the face of her baby’s father, causing him to bleed.

The 26-year-old Lynnwood man was lying on the bed next to their daughter as the woman verbally assaulted a customer-service representative on the phone. The man yelled at the woman to stop. The woman continued, so the man threw a pillow at her. The two fought with the pillows, until the woman jumped on the man scratching his face. The woman then called the police from the man’s cell phone.

When police arrived, the woman accused the man of attacking her. However, police found no injuries on the woman.

The man said he did not wish to file a “no-contact order” against the woman and asked to take her place in jail, but police would not arrest him.

 

14-year-old assaulted father over marijuana

A 36-year-old Renton father called police after he was injured during a argument with his son.

The two got into a shoving match while the father was searching for marijuana in the 14-year-old’s bedroom. Police observed the man had a two-inch laceration on his face.

His son was recently suspended from school for marijuana possession.

The Youth Center declined to admit the teen and his father was treated by the fire department.

After the father answered some parental corporal punishment questions from the police, the man told them he thinks he will be able to handle his son in the future.

 

Renton woman assaulted in laundry argument

A 33-year-old woman got into an argument with a 26-year-old man while he was temporarily staying at her residence. The two have been seeing each other for about two months and the man wanted to wash his clothes. The washer and dryer are downstairs in the same room where the woman’s mother sleeps and she did not want her mother disturbed.

The man attacked the woman repeatedly and tried to prevent her from calling the police. She tried to use a knife to defend herself and the man cut himself wrestling with her for it. According to the woman’s daughter, he also broke her car window.

The man was arrested for suspicion of fourth-degree assault, malicious mischief and interfering with the report of domestic violence.
