Heavy rain is forecast through Wednesday that could produce some flooding of Western Washington rivers and localized urban flooding later this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The Cedar River in Renton peaked at about 800 cubic feet per second Monday afternoon, well below even minor flood potential.
The weather system Tuesday and Wednesday could bring two to four inches of rain in the Cascades and the Olympics, with some locations getting up to six inches.
Urban flooding could occur because of drains clogged with leaves.
