Tools stolen
from electrician
Several tools were stolen from a construction site sometime May 17 or May 18 in the 1600 block of North Fourth Street, according to Renton police.
The tools belonged to an electrician from Renton working on the building. The tools included pliers, cutters, drills and a variety of hand tools.
The electrician estimated the loss at about $500.
A padlock was cut that secured the front door, which was kicked in, according to police. The door hinges were pulled from the frame.
Rock thrown
through window
Someone threw a rock through the window of a house in the 400 block of Pelly Avenue North at about 11:50 p.m. on May 18, according to Renton police.
Initially, the resident thought someone had fired a shot at her home, but police told her the hole was too large to have been caused by a bullet.
Only the outer pane of the double-pane window was broken.
The victim told police she heard a loud crash; she said she thought she heard someone talking outside and possibly fleeing south on Pelly.
Customer grabs
bagger’s shoulder
An employee bagging groceries on May 17 at the Safeway store on Sunset Boulevard was grabbed on the shoulder by a customer, who claimed she was providing poor customer service, according to Renton police.
The customer asked to speak to a store manager, who spoke with the customer, then asked the employee to join them. The employee said she didn’t want to argue and walked away, according to police. That is when the customer, a Renton woman, grabbed her shoulder, according to police.
The customer was ordered to leave the store. She was later cited for fourth-degree assault.
