A teenager ripped a gold chain off the neck of a man in his 40s, Sept. 12 around 10 p.m.

The man was walking in front of the Safeway entrance on 200 S. 3rd St., when four teens walked by him. One of the teens grabbed the necklace and ran off.

The three others didn’t immediately run, as they weren’t expecting their peer to take the necklace.

Police searched for the teen but without success.
