The following information was compiled from Renton Police Department case reports.

The nightclub’s roof was shaking from bass reverberations, which an officer could also feel while investigating a noise complaint on Airport Way Sept. 14.

A man was warned and told to pour out the beer he was drinking outside and another man was urinating near a house on Tobin Avenue as officers were there.

After about 45 minutes the music still hadn’t been turned down. An officer asked for the security officer’s ID so he could issue him a written warning. A woman who identified herself as a bar employee came out; an officer recognized her from previous contacts about noise.

She was told to make sure the noise was reasonable for neighbors and to check or have her security guards check for a shaking roof. She was issued a written warning. About 3:30 a.m. the officer had to ask a couple to stop yelling loudly just south of the nightclub.

The informational report was forwarded to the Washington State Liquor Control Board, which maintains information on liquor licensees.

Pregnant woman arrested for biting boyfriend

A 22-year-old Kent woman who’s four months pregnant and was apparently smoking “spice” was arrested for biting her boyfriend on the hand Sept. 13.

“Spice” is a drug that makes users act erratically, bizarrely and unpredictably, according to police. She had taken her boyfriend’s cell phone and refused to give it back. When he grabbed for it, she bit him. He didn’t want to pursue charges but was told an accusation of domestic violence must be investigated.

She was spotted in the 400 block of Rainier Avenue South at about 11:30 a.m. She was mumbling and her eyes were glossed over. She was treated by medics. Once she became more lucid, she told officers that she was trying to get away from her boyfriend.

She was booked into SCORE, the regional jail, for investigation of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. She also has several warrants, including for residential burglary.

Big crowd fights, man hit in head

Numerous people were involved or witnessed a fight involving a baseball bat and possibly knives at about 3 a.m. Sept. 14 outside a convenience store on Southwest 43rd Street.

Three men were questioned after their fleeing car was stopped. Two friends had called the driver after they were jumped at a party near Renton and their car was damaged. The three went to Kent to watch the street races, where they ran into the men they say assaulted one of the two men at the party.

The fight escalated and moved into the convenience store parking lot. One participant said the fight began because someone was “hitting on their ladies.”  A vehicle was hit with a crowbar and an 18-year-old man from SeaTac was hit on the back of the head with a bat inside the convenience store.

The SeaTac man told officers he wouldn’t testify in court against the men, saying he’s “really not a court kind of person.” He didn’t want anyone prosecuted, as he was OK with how the situation ended. He was free to leave, although he and one of his friends were trespassed from the convenience store for a year.

Car passenger tries to abduct woman

A passenger riding in an older four-door vehicle tried to pull a 41-year-old Renton woman into the car at about 11 p.m. Sept. 14 as she walked along 116th Avenue Southeast.

The car had stopped next to her and she was asked whether she needed a ride. She said no. The passenger opened the door and grabbed her, but she kicked the man she described as having a small build and frame in the knee. She fell into a ditch and the car sped away.

She was on pain medication and had decided to walk, rather than drive, to a store to get some tea.

Man who asked for time steals iPhone

A 20-year-old Renton man’s iPhone was stolen as he waited at a bus stop Sept. 15 in the 200 block of Rainier Avenue South.

The suspect grabbed the phone as the victim was checking the time for him.

A witness got a license plate on the suspect’s fleeing car and officers attempted to check with the vehicle’s registered owner in Arlington to see if the vehicle had been stolen.
