Threatened with a shotgun

Renton police responded on Jan. 10 at approximately 6:11 p.m. to a threat with a firearm in the intersection of South 134th Street and Southwest Langston Road. The victim reported that an unknown man, a pedestrian, aimed a shotgun at her vehicle as she was driving home. The victim sped from the area and saw the man walking southbound on 84th Avenue South in her rearview mirror. No injuries resulted from the incident, according to the department.

Armed robbery

Renton police responded at 3:06 a.m. Jan. 6 to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 2000 block of Lake Washington Boulevard. The victim reported a man knocked on her vehicle window, aimed his gun at her, and demanded her property, including her phone, shoes, earbuds and a purse. The suspect left the area prior to the arrival of officers, according to the department.

Assault with a knife

Renton police responded on Jan. 5 to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 16500 block of 121st Avenue Southeast. Officers learned that a man and woman got into an argument, with the man threatening the woman with a knife and slicing her finger. The man left the area prior to the arrival of officers.

Vehicular assault

Officers responded on Jan. 6 to a two-vehicle collision near Talbot Road South and South Renton Village Place. Investigation of the incident found the driver of a green Mazda collided with a tan Honda, resulting in significant damage and serious injuries to one of the Honda’s occupants, according to the department. The officer found the driver of the Mazda to have driven under the influence of alcohol and arrested him for investigation of vehicular assault.

Armed robbery in business

Renton police responded to a robbery involving firearms on Jan. 4 at approximately 3:53 p.m. in the 200 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard. According to the department, the victims reported that a man entered the business and stole personal items from two individuals at gunpoint. The suspect left the area prior to the arrival of officers, according to the department. Investigation continues into the incident.
