The  Renton Ecumenical Association of Churches is holding a Big News Gala Auction Oct. 2 at the Renton Pavilion Event Center, 233 Burnett Ave. S., in downtown Renton.

The fundraiser will  help neighbors with food and housing.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the silent auction, drinks and hors d’oeuvres  are at 6 p.m. and the dinner and live auction are at 7 p.m.
