Regional Fire Authority Planning Committee to meet on Thursday

All interested parties are invited to attend the meeting, however there will be no opportunity for public comment during the meeting.

The Regional Fire Authority Planning Committee is holding a public meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Fire Station 13, 18002 108th Ave. S.E.

Topics for discussion will be King County Fire District No. 20’s request to participate in the RFA planning process, RFA plan template, RFA funding and establishment of a Community Advisory Committee.

A regional fire authority is a special purpose district created by the vote of the people residing in the proposed district. If approved by voters, the city would no longer fund or control the fire department, which would have its own taxing authority.

All interested parties are invited to attend the meeting, however there will be no opportunity for public comment during the meeting.
