Registered sex offender charged with molesting 11-year-old Renton girl

Keith Raymond Geyman, 62, was charged Wednesday with rape of a child in the first-degree after he allegedly lured the girl and her brother into his motor home and then molested her.

A registered sex offender was arrested this weekend after allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl in Renton.

Keith Raymond Geyman, 62, was charged Wednesday with rape of a child in the first-degree after he allegedly lured the girl and her brother into his motor home and then molested her.

He is being held on $100,000 bail, though prosecutors are requesting $1 million due to the repeat nature of the crime.

According to charging papers, Geyman’s criminal history includes a 1984 conviction for deviate sexual conduct (with a 2002 probation violation) for sodomizing a 9-year-old boy in Montana, a 1981 second-degree assault charge and second-degree burglary charges from 1969 and 1979.

Geyman is presently registered as “homeless” in King County and was living in a motor home on an undeveloped property in the 100 block of Lake Avenue.

According to charging papers, the two children were playing and asked Geyman if they could pet his dog. Geyman said the dog was too aggressive, but then invited the children to look through a motor home he said he intends to sell as parts to see if there was anything inside they wanted.

The children accepted and the victim selected a few items from inside and was sitting on the driver seat waiting for her brother when Geyman approached.

Geyman allegedly reached under a tin of mints the girl was holding in her lap and touched her on the outside of her shorts and pressed down a couple of times.

He then allegedly ran his hand under the elastic band of her shorts and underwear and touched her again. The girl reported being afraid to tell him to stop for fear that he would hurt her.

Her 10-year-old brother then yelled excitedly about finding something in the back and seeing an opportunity to get away, she ran out of the motor home and to her father and said to him “Daddy, Daddy he put his hand down my pants. You need to call the police,” according to charging papers.

After as brief investigation, police located Geyman and identified him as the suspect described by the children. He was booked into King County Jail.

His arraignment is set for June 3.
