For the children of Renton wanting their letters delivered to Santa Claus, there’s no better stop than the Renton Airport.
Near the southern end of the airfield, in front of the big sign is a red mailbox specially made for letters to the North Pole.
After its debut two years, the mailbox has gotten a lot of response from the local community and each year since, the airport has recieved between 100 and 300 letters.
A new addition has been made to the mailbox this year with a cedar roof built over the red mailbox to keep the letter from getting wet. On top of the cedar roof sits a Snoopy plush, ready to recieve the letters.
The mailbox can be accessed from Airport Way onto West Perimeter Road, taking a left towards the Renton Airport sign.
