RENTON BLOTTER: A self-described ‘king’ overdoses on PCP

The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports:

A 20-year-old overdosed on PCP, before punching holes in the wall and screaming “Everyone is going to die.”

It took several of his roommates to hold him down until police arrived on the 2900 block of Southeast Third Street Feb. 18.

He told police he was a member of the SWAT member, a king and with the CIA.

Party ends with gunpoint robbery

Police broke up a party on the 500 block of Williams Avenue South after a gunpoint robbery turned into a fight between two groups.

When police arrived about 150 to 200 teens were dispersing, and about 100 were still inside the Masonic Lodge Feb. 19.

A small group of girls were still in a scuffle.

Police searched the suspects and retrieved a cell-phone case, but no weapons.

No one was willing to report the crime, because of fear of retaliation.

Attempted robbery

Two men attempted to rob another at a Bank of America cash machine on the 300 block of Burnett Avenue South.

The man was at the machine when they approached him. He quickly hid his cash, and the two demanded he give it to them Feb. 19.

Seeing a nearby occupied car, he began to run across the street.

The suspects followed until they saw the people in the car and they turned and ran toward the transit center.

Teens attempt purse snatch

A teen in a hooded sweatshirt tried to rob a woman but gave up after failing to get her purse off her arm.

The teen ran off with another from the 200 block of Logan Avenue South Feb. 18.

Police questioned several teens in the area, even creating a live lineup.

However, the woman couldn’t identify any of them for certain, because the suspect was hooded.

Three teens robbed a woman’s purse along with a bottle of methadone.

The woman was retrieving the purse from the car to take the prescribed drugs, when they jumped her on the 300 block of Union Avenue Southeast.

A K-9 track was unsuccessful.

Six teens robbed two girls, beating one on the 16200 block of 122nd Avenue South.

The two girls were drunk, when they were jumped Feb. 18.

DUI arrest

Police arrested a man for DUI after they escorted him out of a hotel, where he followed a woman he met at the Silver Dollar Casino.

As police escorted him out of the Clarion Hotel on East Valley Road, they told him not to drive drunk.

He then got into his blue Chevy pickup and began to drive away.

The officers followed him and pulled him over, saying, “I told you not to drive drunk.”

The man responded, “Test me.” He had a blood alcohol level of 0.126 percent.
