The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports:
A 44-year-old man was arrested for a DUI on his birthday on the 600 block of Rainier Avenue South March 22.
The man was making improper lane changes when the officer pulled him over. His blood alcohol level was 0.271 percent, too high to be booked in jail.
The man requested to speak to an attorney. When the officer asked who his attorney was, he said he wanted to speak to Judge Judy.
When the officer approached the car, the man was trying to switch seats with a female passenger.
Bar fight
One man punched another at the Pickled Onion Bar on Union Avenue Northeast.
The victim was sent to the hospital for a laceration in his face and the 27-year-old suspect was arrested for fourth-degree assault.
The suspect punched the man for fear that he was going to be punched first.
Earlier that night, the two had a fight over a dart board and settled the argument with a handshake.
Misfire ends up in garage
A man called police after discovering a drill-sized hole in his family room, before discovering a bullet in his garage March 20.
The bullet, discovered when the man was cleaning his garage, likely caused the hole on the 2100 block of Wells Court South.
The police measured the trajectory and discovered the bullet either came from the Montclair Apartments at 2223 Benson Rd. S. or the Sunset Ridge Condos at 1321 S. Puget Dr.
Abandoned cat
Animal control found an abandoned and injured cat on the 10400 block of Southeast 174th Street March 17.
Owners put the cat outside after discovering it had fleas and then abandoned it after a move. Neighbors continued to feed the black-haired cat.
However, another cat in the complex developed “pure hatred for this cat” and attacked it pretty regularly. It didn’t have life-threatening injuries, but the officer took it to the humane society.
Car prowl
A man’s camera was stolen from his car after he left it unlocked while in the dentist’s office on the 600 block of South Carr Road March 18.
